What makes a weight “healthy”?

Does this apply to everyone?

Why is there a range instead of one ideal weight?

The formula

The band comes from rearranging the BMI formula. Since BMI=weight/height2\text{BMI} = \text{weight}/\text{height}^2, a target weight is weight=BMI×height2\text{weight} = \text{BMI} \times \text{height}^2 with height in metres.
